Just check the "What most people do". They have a strict diet during weekdays but splurge on weekends, using the "I-deserve-this" play card. But the thing is, all their efforts during those 5 days are wasted just because of all the overeating done during the weekends.
As for the "What you should do", this is a more sustainable diet. Just because you're on a diet doesn't automatically mean you have to eliminate "fun" foods. Of course not! What you can do is spread it out for the entire week and have it in moderation. So you get to enjoy your favorite meals and your entire healthy living journey and still get the fat loss you want. (Keeping in mind you stay away from highly processed and inflammatory foods 😉) That's what you call decent compromise.
